OMG, why have I never heard of this before!?!!! I was just watching Chasing Classic Cars on Discovery Velocity, where Wayne Carini went to the annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and discovers the lighter hearted variation of Concours d’LeMons!
So, I currently am on a 24 Hours of LeMons Team, where we are building a early 80’s RX7 as our endurance racer. The idea there is to spend $500 or less to purchase a car and get it running within that budget. (Safety, brakes, tires, seat and harness, etc don’t count in the budget.) Read more on the rules here.
OK, that’s the LeMons racing, but Concours d’LeMons??? This is a play on the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event which appears to have been held near to each other on the same day. I NEED to start doing some research on this and see where it could go! Maybe visit one year first. Bet my buddy, Maffew will be all over this too! Specially since this episode of Chasing Classic Cars showcased the “Sweedish Meetball Class”.
Oh, you can bribe the judges at this event too!!!
